Our SDA Minors and Juniors program is for intermediate level dancers who will represent SDA at competitions, cultural events and community events across the Tristate area. This program is specifically meant for students who are regular, diligent, strive to improve and are committed to the art and performance. Our SDA Minors and Juniors program is designed for dancers who can adapt to a routine and choreography with ease. Our students will be trained to be well-rounded performers.

At SDA we expect our students to be performers with the highest commitment and dedication to their art form and prepare them to be not just good dancers but kind-hearted, empathetic, confident and promising individuals.

Excelling students will have the opportunity to partake in:

• JC Youth Foundation Gala- Thursday May 9th. 2024 (Confirmed)

• Indians in Jersey City Independence Day Celebration- Date TBD

• FIA India Day Parade NYC- Sunday August 18th, 2024

Ages: SDA Minors - 6+ yrs/ SDA Juniors- 10 + yrs
Dates: Fridays, February 23- May 10th (Buffer Class 5/17 ; No classes 3/29, 4/5)
Location: Nimbus Arts Center (329 Warren Street, Jersey City)
Times: 6:00pm- 6:55pm
Cost: $250 (10 one hour long classes + 1 buffer rehearsal)

Our SDA Company Kids 10-11 week program will focus on:

-strength and flexibility exercises
-techniques, musicality and emoting
-synchronization and teamwork
-confidence to compete
-expression, emoting and musicality

Prerequisites for SDA Minor and Juniors

• Students must be registered for at least one of these regular SDA classes - Bollywood II/ III, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, BollyJazz or Hip Hop.

• Students must commit to practicing at home on their own to continue to hone their skills.
