Celebrate Holi 2021 (1).png

Come celebrate Holi 2021 with Shehnaaz Dance Academy (SDA), Author Shoumi Sen and TangleTime with Anushya. SDA is delighted to bring you a Holi celebration for families and kids of all ages. Our event will begin with a book reading session by author Shoumi Sen, who will read excerpts from her beautiful children’s book, Celebrate Holi with Me. This will be followed by an art/craft activity by Anushya Mamtora from TangleTime With Anushya. We will conclude our event with a foot tapping, follow along dance segment by Shehnaaz Jagasia, founder of Shehnaaz Dance Academy.

SDA is a Jersey City based Indian dance school that conducts Bollywood, BollyNatyam, BollyBhangra, BollyHop, Contemporary and Folk dance classes for kids, youth and adults. We also have our adult BollyHIIT dance fitness sessions for a fun calorie burning sweat sesh. Our classes are currently being conducted via zoom.

Shoumi Sen is the creator of "From The Toddler Diaries", a series of children's books on Indian culture and mythology. Her books ‘Celebrate Holi With Me!’,‘ Celebrate Durga Puja With Me!’ and the latest in the series, ‘Celebrate Onam With Me!’ have received rave reviews from kids and parents alike and are featured by Toka Box and available for sale on Amazon and various bookstores around the world. You can purchase the book ‘Celebrate Holi with Me’ here to make sure your copy reaches you prior to our event.

Anushya Mamtora, an integral part of SDA and the founder of TangleTime with Anushya, conducts festive Mandala, Zentangle and craft workshops for small businesses, corporates, schools and camps. Anushya will be conducting a simple art/craft activity for the kids so they can celebrate the significance of the Festival of Color.
