SDA offers dance lessons in both Indian and Western dance forms like Bollywood, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Kathak, and Bharatanatyam. All our dance teachers will provide bi-weekly dance videos for practice at home. The term concludes with a 2- 2.5 minute costumed choreography and the opportunity to perform at the SDA Spring Showcase 2024.

Semester Fees- $375
PLEASE NOTE: Semester fees includes students’ registration, one themed costume and participation in the Spring Showcase 2024.
Ticketing fees for the showcase are not included in students’ semester fees.


Bollywood I

Ages: 3.5-5.5 years old
Time: 5:00pm- 5:45pm

Bollywood I covers basic freestyle Bollywood moves with emphasis on:

  • Basic steps, postures, and spatial positioning

  • Developing hand-leg coordination

  • Listen and respond to musical cues/beats and time moves as per the beat

  • Furthering student concentration and focus

  • Encouraging students to work independently

  • Awareness of movements and transitions between moves

Bollywood II

Ages: 5.5- 7 years old
Time: 5:45pm- 6:30pm

Bollywood II, with its semi-complex choreography and large group coordination, mainly aims at:

  • Improving posture, stance and technique

  • Including semi complex legwork, spatial movement and turns

  • Focusing on transitions of positions within the routine

  • Learn the importance of teamwork

  • Learning the emotion of the track and basics of expression

  • Tips and tools to perform with cues from the teacher

Bollywood III

Ages: 8+ years old
Time: 6:30pm- 7:15pm

Bollywood III students must have the ability to concentrate for the entire length of the class as it has advanced choreography and stylized techniques focusing on:

  • Complex legwork, large spatial movements and spins

  • Transitions and formations to elevate the routine

  • Coordinating with partners or teammates to excel in the routine

  • Emoting to the track, expressions, and focus on stage presence

  • Memorizing cues to perform independently
