Hoboken Family Alliance - Cabin Fever Festival 2020

It might have been freezing outside, but that did’t stop SDA from doing what we do best. Performing!

For a third consecutive time in a row, we were back at our favorite haunt, the Cabin Fever Festival, organized by the Hoboken Family Alliance (HFA) at the Joseph Brandt School in Hoboken. The auditorium was brimming with action. HFA has such a wide variety of sponsors catering to both kids and adults to indulge them in arts, crafts and activities.

SDA had a fabulous line up ready to enthrall the audience at this event. We started with a semi classical rendition of Albela Sajan by our two talented little dancers (Urvi Mamtora, Yashvi Bharariya) in gorgeous traditional attire. The choreography was inspired from one of India’s most popular classical dances, Bharatnatyam. This act was followed by an energetic performance by our Pre Juniors group of girls (Sahara Dange, Ahana Garg, Sara Khavanekar, Aarushi Raju, Aaliya Shah, Veda Surabhi) who wowed the crowd with their groovy moves to the cult favorite Rangeela Re.

The talented SDA Squad Junior (Sunay Rohatgi, Arcia Suresh) took over the floor with their Michael Jacksonsque outfits and moves mimicking the iconic Prabhu Deva, delivering a fabulous performance to the famous songs Urvashi and Muqabla from the 90s era of Bollywood. The SDA Company adult performers in their vibrant blue and pink Indian outfits, sashayed and swirled to the blockbuster Ghar More Pardesiya garnering a thunderous applause.

SDA prides itself in providing opportunities to its dancers to showcase their talent, grace and hard work. Our students work tirelessly to perfect their routines and strive to make each and every act enjoyable for their audience.

SDA is honored to be a part of the HFA Cabin Fever Festival for the past 3 years. We are thankful to HFA and the wonderful community to Hoboken for inviting us for this prestigious event once again and are excited to be part of this event for years to come!
