HFA Cabin Fever Festival 2018
/Shehnaaz Dance Academy’s appearance at the Hoboken Family Alliance Cabin Fever Festival was a huge success! Our students came to set the stage on fire and that is exactly what they did. Well coordinated, beautiful executed and gracefully performed were few of the kind phrases given to our performances by the audience.
Our students performed both Bollywood and classical fusion pieces. The wildly popular Sweety Tera Drama had our PAW students bring the crowd up and on their feet. Girls were dressed in beautiful lehengas of red, blue, green while the boys looked handsome in the the traditional dhoti jacket outfits. Our eldest student had the opportunity to act as the assistant teacher guiding the students through the steps as they grooved on the stage.
With Holi, the Indian festival of colors around the corner, our Holi inspired Badri Ki Dulhaniya had everyone clapping to the beat. We even heard a whistle in the audience and that made our Indian heart beat proud. These little performers confidently owned the stage, which is a hard feat for even a seasoned performer. Their yellow and blue outfits sparkled bright on stage. All our outfits are designed and custom made by Sketchboard4Kids which has its roots in New Delhi, India.
Our squad students performed a classical fusion mix of Pataka Guddi and Taal se taal and finished off their act with Dhakaad. This mix is part of our woman’s empowerment series encouraging girls to follow their dreams and make a mark in society.
Our performers have been consistent in their efforts to deliver wonderful performances and our families have time and again been our backbone; trusting our vision, supporting us in our endeavors as well as applauding our achievements. “Teamwork is what makes the dream work” was once again proven by Shehnaaz Dance Academy and its patrons!
Stay tuned for details of our next performance coming up beginning of March!
